I understand that religion is important and we have to like follow the rules and stuff. But what I don't get is, why issit that you are allowed to 'screw up and turn over a new leaf' at the age of 40 but I can't do the same? I mean, you wanna turn over a new leaf? Fine. Good for you. But don't try to force me NOW. I'm old enough. I've seen what I've seen growing up. You were never perfect. Not even close. And so, if you wanna be religious and repent, I'm perfectly alright with that. But don't come to me saying stuff like its my duty to make you do this, make you do that. Because all these while, you NEGLECTED your duty. And now, we're all grown up. We can think for ourselves. You can't force us NOW. It doesn't make any sense. I don't want to do things JUST to please you. I wanna do it because I feel that connection with God. So even if you force me to do it now, it won't even be sincere. Sooooooo I really don't understand why you'd want that? To save your own ass? And even now, you're not doing it right. Screaming and shouting, threatening us to make us more religious? Hmmm that don't sound right. I'm sure that's not the way our religion taught us. And you can bitch about my nenek? Someone WAYYYYYY more religious than you. Sooooo wtf bro? I should listen to you?! That's a contradiction right there. I have my reasons for feeling what I'm feeling. And its not fair that we all have to do all these just so you feel like less guilty of all your wrongdoings. DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
